Autism Awareness Month is taking place for the month of April. At Scoil Teampall Toinne, we decided to complete small activities in our classes which encourage an awareness and appreciation of what life might be like for a person with Autism. The children engaged brilliantly with the various activities. As a whole school we undertook a head or tails challenge. The heads or tails challenge took place outside on the yard where children from all classes competed against each other flipping coins. Well done to Gemma Cahill in Junior Infants who won the challenge. The school has been a buzz with Easter activities this week, the infants in particular have been busy completing Easter tasks in Aistear. They also participated in an Egg hunt and enjoy tasty smoothies.. Many thanks to the parents council who gifted each child in our school an Easter Egg this week. The children were delighted with their yummy treat.
