Cahir Garda Station Open Day

1st & 2nd class visited Cahir Garda Station today. They children saw a number of interesting elements of the Garda station and the work that Gardaí do on a daily basis. The children saw a  cell where prisoners are held. They saw the medical room in the station. They saw and rubbed the horses from the Garda Equine unit. They saw a Garda speed gun, a Garda car and they learned about all the weapons that are used in the Garda Armed Response Unit.
After visiting the Garda Station, the children visited a playground where they relaxed and enjoyed the sunshine. Check out the photos below to spot some future members of the Garda Síochána. ​
