Sport in our school
Physical activities are essential in the everyday lives of children today. At Scoil Teampall Toinne we try to promote and encourage all children to participate in physical games and activities everyday. Children spend forty minutes each day walking, running and playing on yard. We are very fortunate to have a large spacious area where children can explore and move around.
All teachers work hard to teach the children core physical skills during PE and the children participate in various sporting competitions associated with schools.

Congratulations to our County Final Winners!
Congratulations to our County Final Winners! Girls from third, fourth and fifth class participated in the County Final B Football Blitz on Wednesday. The girls were terrific winning all their matches. Everyone at school Teampall Toinne is extremely proud of their achievements. Well done to everyone involved in the training and organisation of the team. The medals were presented to the girls at Assembly on Friday morning.
GAA Coaching
Over the course of the year, children learn Gaelic football and hurling skills from an expert coach. The children attend classes in rotation and they love playing games and matches at the end of the sessions.

U11 County Final
Congratulations to the U11 Girls team who played Clogheen N.S. in a Football County Final in Monroe, Clonmel.
Unfortunately the girls were not successful that day but they displayed great skill and determination as they played excellently for their school.

Cycle Right Cycling Skills

5th and 6th class were very fortunate to take part in a cycling skills course hosted by member of the Carrick on Suir Cycling club. The children learned about how to be safe on the bike when starting and stopping. They also learned specific hand signals that are necessary for safe cycling on the roads. Hope this specialised skills class will make the children aware of the importance of wearing helmets and taking care on public roads.

Cumann na mBunscoil
U11 boys participated in the U11 league for Cumann na mBunscoil. Despite some nail biting matches, they were not successful in the overall competition. Congratulations to Mr. Molan and all the team for their dedicated efforts.
'Fozball' Competition
4th class attended a soccer blitz on October 10th. Eighteen children attended the competition and they were divided into two teams: Bally A and Bally B. Both teams played a number of teams from Cahir, Ardfinnan, New Inn, Cogheen and Ballylooby. Bally B won all their matches and they did their teacher and school very proud. Ms. Keating and her class returned in high spirits having received certificates for their terrific participation.
