Autumn has arrived!

U11 Girls travelled to Ballylooby this week to play in a football blitz. They played fantastically and they placed in third place. Well done to Ms. Keating and the girls who participated.

Junior and senior infants have been very busy celebrating their teddy Barney’s birthday. Barney turned 6 on September 27th. They had a wonderful time in our party corner preparing for the celebrations and giggling at our puppet show. We created super presents for Barney using all our recyclable materials. He now has a lovely, house and games amongst other things. They enjoyed singing Happy Birthday and not forgetting the taste of delicious chocolate cake. Happy Birthday Barney!
They also have been learning and exploring about Autumn. They went on a lovely nature walk and used all our sense to notice the signs of Autumn. They had great fun making their own dens preparing for hibernation. They made some playdough animals and they created gorgeous leaf rubbings.

2nd and 3rd class investigated the old Boys school in their history this week. They also went on a mini beast hunt around the school grounds. Take a look at their findings and photos on the subjects’ page.
